# Plants, Trees, Flowers, Ferns

If you like plants or trees, I recommend visiting the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney. It is a huge garden, measuring 30 hectares (74 acres). The shape of the whole Garden looks like the letter 'Y' if you look at it from the aircraft.

Walking among tall trees and green plants can refresh you. I really love this mood. Walking through the forest always makes me heal. Following the pedestrian road, birds sing, searching for bugs. Time flows slowly.

It feels like Walking with Dinosaur when you walk along the bunch of ferns. In Korea, it is not easy for ferns to grow to that size. But here is Australia. The temperature variation is not that high, so the ferns could grow like that much, I guess.

I entered this garden through the entrance near Art Gallery Road. At first, I thought it was not the entrance because some fences were set up, but it was an entrance. Fortunately, as soon as I got in the garden, I found a line of people. Curious, I joined the line without knowing what it was.

That was the line for visiting the Corpse Flower House.

# Corpse Flower

On a hot day under the sun, I waited about 30 minutes. At last, I could reach the house with the door stuck with a corpse flower paint.

Almost(maybe all, I guess) of the staff were volunteers. One of the staff explained what the corpse flower is. With plenty of information, I finally got in the house.

The first look at the Corpse Flower was beyond my expectations. I imagined a flower more than 1 meter in size blooming, but it was not. The size was correct, but it was not blooming because of the season. Even so, as a flower, it was still an abnormal size.

A staff member inside the house taught people how its life cycle works. It was a surprising moment when I learned about the life cycle of the Corpse Flower. Not only did it live as a flower, but it also had stems and leaves like the other plants.

Amazing! It looks like a mini palm tree.

# Mrs Macquarie's Point

To the North of the Botanic Garden, there is a wide grassy area. On the road beside the bay, many people were jogging. Couples were lying on the grass making their youngest moment.

As I mentioned at the start of this post, at the edge of the Garden, which is the top of the right line of the letter 'Y', you can see the whole sightseeing of remarkable Sydney landmarks.

That is called Mrs Macquarie's Point, a peninsula in Sydney. I recommend you to visit here to take wonderful pictures of Sydney.

# The Eel on the Garden Pond

It is not famous like Mrs Macquarie's Point, but in the middle of the Garden grass, there lived a monster. Eel.

No one knows exactly how they started their life on this pond. No staff at there did not release the eel. It had appeared one day all of a sudden. And still living there.

It seems like a legendary Imoogi, which is a spiritual monster before becoming the eastern dragon. Thickness was almost adult man's thigh.
